Thymosin Alpha 1, commonly abbreviated as Ta1, is a naturally occurring 28 amino acid peptide originally isolated from thymic tissue. It is widely studied as a regulator of immune cell development, maturation, and signaling.

In laboratory research, Thymosin Alpha 1 has been investigated for its immunomodulatory activity across a range of immune cell populations and experimental models. Published studies have examined its effects on dendritic cell maturation, T lymphocyte differentiation, natural killer cell activation, and toll like receptor signaling.
