Description

KPV is a naturally occurring tripeptide composed of the amino acid sequence lysine, proline, and valine. It is derived from the terminal region of alpha melanocyte stimulating hormone, commonly known as alpha MSH.

KPV has attracted significant research interest for its activity in experimental models involving inflammatory signaling, mucosal immunology, epithelial cell responses, and innate immune regulation.

In laboratory studies, researchers have examined the effects of KPV on NF kB nuclear translocation, an important process involved in inflammatory gene expression.
